This senior‑level Security Specialist position requires U.S. citizenship and a current TS/SCI clearance. Salary range: $125,000.00.

We are seeking a skilled Security Specialist to support the Air Force Cognizant Security Authority in advancing National Security Objectives aligned with Air Force interests. This role provides day‑to‑day support for collateral and, as directed, SCI activities through integrated and proactive security operations. Under the guidance of a government security administrator, you will deliver multi‑disciplinary security support across information, personnel, operations, industrial, communications, and anti‑terrorism/force protection domains.

• Provide technical advice and security support to multiple collateral programs and, where specifically called for, SCI programs within the Directorate.
• Assist in the development and writing of operations security (OPSEC) plans, transition plans, emergency action plans, transportation plans and any other security documents needed for the customer.
• Review program documentation for public release, ensuring Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) has proper markings, classifications and distribution statements per DOD and AF guidance and provide accurate feedback to IP Leads about document disposition ability.
• Provide classification guidance and assistance for all collateral and SCI (where needed) programs.
• Understand counterintelligence threats and trends to help advise unit and program assigned personnel.
• Assist with the development of Security Classification Guides (SCG), Program Protection Plans, Security Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other key security documents as directed by the IP Lead.
• Provide classification reviews of inbound and outbound correspondence.
• Prepare, process, and distribute (ship and receive) inbound/outbound classified mail integrated with a singular government accountable mailing program.
• Assist with preparing classified packages, courier forms and maintain receipt records of such dispatches.
• Provide reproduction support for classified materials both paper and electronic format.
• Review, track, and monitor security clearance via DISS to ensure compliance with applicable personnel security standards and ensure all personnel are properly accounted for.
• Ensure personnel security clearances are kept current and access is verified prior to allowing access to classified material; identify any missing SF‑312/Non‑Disclosure Agreements and alert IP Lead as required.
• Prepare, process, and review Visitor Certification Requests for accuracy and access eligibility; ensure visit certifications are received timely and accurately by receiving units.
• Assist with researching, processing, filing, and maintaining inbound and outbound visit notices.
• Assist IP Lead with inspection preparations and MICT artifact creation as directed.
• Conduct effective entry and exit inspections along with any other random anti‑terrorism measures as directed by unit, installation or higher level anti‑terrorism authority.
• Assist in maintaining facility access control, including visitor control/escorting and access badge creation, issuing and tracking.
• Perform data entry to the Security System database.
• Follow and enforce the customer's Standard Operating Procedures or Operating Instructions (OI).
• Individuals may be appointed as COMSEC Responsible Officers or Secure Voice Responsible Officers in accordance with applicable regulations or instructions and as needed by the IP Lead.
• Individuals may be appointed as alternate equipment custodians.

• 10 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in a related field; 8 years relevant experience with a Master’s in a related field; or high school diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess and maintain a current TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with security systems, including alarm monitoring, electronic access control, and closed caption television.
• High familiarity with DISS.
• Proficient knowledge with DD254 process.
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
