Full-Time Kitchen Helper: Dishes, Prep & Sanitation
Job summary
A local restaurant in Whitehorse is seeking a full-time kitchen staff member. Responsibilities include cleaning dishes, preparing food, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. Candidates must have a high school graduation certificate and some work experience. This position requires physical presence at the restaurant with no option for remote work. The job is permanent, with a salary of $19 per hour for 40 hours a week.
Qualifications
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience required.
Responsibilities
- Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables.
- Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units.
- Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware.
- Package take-out food.
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
- Handle and store cleaning products.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash.
- Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors.
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit.
