A healthcare facility in Kingston is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for their Mental Health - Acute Crisis Evaluation & Response Team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive clinical services, including crisis intervention and patient education. Candidates must have a valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, preferably with a BScN and experience in mental health settings. This role requires excellent crisis intervention skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Formación
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
BScN preferred or equivalent education and experience.
Demonstrated experience with risk assessments and suicide prevention.
Responsabilidades
Provide client-centred clinical services to patients in crisis.
Conduct psychosocial assessments and crisis interventions.
Educate patients and families on care processes.
Conocimientos
Crisis intervention skills for in-person encounters
Strong clinical assessment skills
Knowledge of trauma-informed care
Excellent oral communication
Ability to work independently
Educación
BScN or equivalent combination of education and experience
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Post-diploma certification in psychiatric/mental health nursing
