The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes and procedures are adhered to in order to ensure the quality of the products. The Quality Assurance Lead may visually inspect or manually test products or processes, before, during or after the manufacturing process. May also run and monitor inspection equipment, as well as record and analyze quality data. Quality Assurance Lead may perform their duties in a number of locations, such as workstations, assembly lines, laboratories, customer sites or at warehouses and material storage locations. They may have to stand for hours at a time, or perform their duties seated in a controlled environment. The Quality Assurance Lead may be required to work overtime during peak manufacturing periods or audits with short notice.
Required
A.S. degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent experience in production, packing, TransPak operations, is desired.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in the English language. Bilingual is not required but desired, Spanish preferred.
Ability to attend/provide training and implement concepts learned during that training.
A valid Driver’s license is required for site to site travel.
The majority of the work performed will be done on the production floor. This includes the above physical requirements as well as mental alertness for forklifts, pneumatic tools and other hazards.
This job requires travel. Travel sites may include Oregon, Washington, California, Texas, Mexico, and Asia. Travel conditions may either be by vehicle or plane and may require overnight stays in hotels.
