Role

Franchise Growth & Enablement is seeking a Manager to build and run a comprehensive risk evaluation methodology for Specialty Merchant program. The responsibilities of this role will predominantly be:

  • Design and lead the development of a robust risk evaluation framework to identify and segment high‑risk merchants, ensuring alignment with organizational risk appetite and regulatory standards.
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative risk indicators into measurable metrics, enabling consistent and scalable risk assessments across diverse merchant profiles.
  • Establish and oversee ongoing evaluation policies and procedures, ensuring they remain current, effective, and compliant with internal and external requirements.
  • Manage the execution of regular risk evaluations, maintaining a disciplined cadence to proactively monitor merchant risk and surface emerging trends.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams, facilitating cross‑functional collaboration to maintain a comprehensive and accurate view of merchant risk across all domains.
  • Utilize market intelligence, stakeholder feedback, and performance data to continuously enhance the risk framework, driving innovation and improving decision‑making capabilities.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement risk frameworks and policies in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in quantitative risk modeling and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to merchant risk and compliance.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); experience with risk scoring models is a plus.
  • Proven experience and impact in strategy, execution, and project management.
  • Ability to build trust and relationships among internal stakeholders.
  • Capable of multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.
  • High efficiency using data to support thinking / build recommendations.
  • Payment or network payments experience preferred.
