Yes, you can find both under the same roof!
Our client, GreenShield, is a not-for-profit benefits carrier and the first organization in Canada to operate as a payer-provider — offering insurance, administering benefits, and paying claims as a ‘payer’ while offering health services such as mental health, pharmacy, and medical services as a ‘provider’. As a non-profit social enterprise without shareholders, GreenShield prioritizes and reinvests its excess earnings to directly support underserved communities. Through GreenShield Cares, GreenShield committed $75 million to improve the health of over one million Canadians by the end of 2025, focusing on mental health, essential medicines, and chronic disease management.
To serve its needs and sustain its growth ambitions, GreenShield is looking to hire a Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel to join its legal team.
Working closely with business and operations leaders, you will play a key role in supporting GreenShield’s operations across. In this role, you will provide timely and strategic legal advice on a wide range of insurance and health matters, from regulatory compliance and product development to marketing, licensing and contract negotiation, to name a few. You will also support strategic partnerships, RFPs, and the resolution of claims and disputes. You will contribute to GreenShield’s growth in Quebec by advising on the delivery and distribution of products and services tailored to this market.
If you want to make a real impact at the intersection of law, insurance, health, and innovation, we would like to hear from you.
