A construction design firm in Balzac, Alberta, is seeking a Junior Design Technician to create accurate designs for wall, floor, and roof systems. This full-time role involves preparing drawings, ensuring compliance with building codes, and collaborating with various teams. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in a related field and experience in structural design. Competitive pay ranging from $25-$35 per hour based on experience is offered, along with group benefits after a probation period.
The Junior Design Technician is responsible for creating accurate and efficient designs for wall, floor, or roof systems to meet client specifications and building code requirements. This role works closely with project managers, estimators, and production teams to ensure designs are both practical for manufacturing and compliant with engineering standards. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proficient in design software, and able to problem-solve in a fast-paced construction environment.
This is a full-time position with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday. The starting wage will range between $25-$35 per hour depending on experience. Group benefits are available after a successful 90-day probation period.
