27.44 / hr - $29.55 / hr

The Lab Technician is primarily responsible for pre-analytical and post analytical work processes to accurately prepare analyzers and samples for testing and then to store and dispose of samples. The Lab Technician provides daily support to each department by delivering and preparing specimens for the testing area, preparing necessary reagents, troubleshooting problems, performing maintenance, storing, retrieving, and disposing of specimens. In addition, the Lab Technician provides input to the Lab Ops Supervisors concerning team issues and opportunities for improvement.
Status : This is a temporary full-time float role with flexible shifts in Burnaby, BC.
Shifts : Position is flexible to work any shifts including Sunday to Saturday. The contract end date may vary based on operational needs. This contract will remain in effect until the ratification of the Collective Agreement, subject to extension following the ratification of the Collective Agreement.

Contract End Date : April 30, 2026
Union : This is part of the BCGEU collective agreement.
