A regional government authority is seeking a Laboratory Technician for its Liquid Waste Services Department. The successful candidate will perform routine and specialized chemical analyses on drinking water, wastewater, and soil samples. Responsibilities include organizing daily testing, maintaining laboratory instruments, and ensuring data accuracy. The position requires a Diploma in Chemistry or Environmental technology, knowledge of laboratory methods, and a valid Driver's License for B.C. The role is Full-Time Temporary until May 30, 2026.

Salary Range/Wage Rate: PG T22 $2,837.65 - $3,340.08 bi‑weekly (2024 wage rates)
Our Liquid Waste Services Department is seeking a Laboratory Technician who will perform routine and specialized chemical and physical analyses on drinking water, wastewater, soil, and waste disposal samples.
You are: A detail‑oriented Laboratory Technician. You organize and prioritize daily testing, maintain and operate laboratory instruments, prepare standards and reagents, and ensure data accuracy by investigating and reporting unusual results. You support plant operations through timely communication of findings, assist with field sampling and special projects, follow established laboratory protocols, and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient laboratory environment.
