TCT is headquartered in Airdrie and operates an overhaul depot in Airdrie, a testing facility in Calgary, and three field service offices located across the USA and in the UK.

Position Summary
The Gas Turbine Technician is responsible for the repair and overhaul of General Electric and/or Siemens Energy industrial gas turbines, as well as assisting in all aspects of operation in the TransCanada Turbines test cell.
Duties
The duties will include but will not be limited to the following:
- Accomplish the repair and overhaul of General Electric and/or Siemens Energy industrial gas turbines, ensuring that this work is carried out in accordance with the applicable OEM manuals, TCT specifications and procedures, and standard industry practices.
- Hands on disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair and/or assembly of the various product types as required to achieve shop production schedules.
- Make ongoing work scope recommendations based upon shop floor observations.
- Work with production control and materials management to facilitate the flow of material through the shop.
- Perform in field maintenance, repairs and inspections on installed units.
- Help to ensure that customer expectations are met, in terms of delivery, cost, quality and responsiveness.
- Work with the engine team(s) to ensure a focused, constructive and communicative working environment, delivering high levels of personal and company performance from your team, and from the support services working with your team.
- Monitor and maintain tooling and equipment. Ensure that this equipment is kept in a safe reliable working order. Remove from service any tool or equipment found to be defective.
- Make recommendations on tooling and equipment to be provisioned for a gas generator overhaul shop and field service group.
- Monitor shop practices to ensure that the facility is always operated in a healthy, safe, and environmentally conscience manner, per TCT policies and procedures. Take steps to correct any condition that violates this fundamental principle.
- Make recommendations on policy and procedures to improve shop productivity and profit of the company in general, and to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Preparation of engines for the testing in the TransCanada Turbines test cell facility.
- Maintenance and repair of all engine test support equipment.
- Testing of engines in accordance with the relevant General Electric and/or Siemens Energy test schedule.
- Increase knowledge of the HSE Policy and Manual and maintain a positive attitude towards the health and safety of myself and my coworkers
- Take ownership of HSE issues and demonstrate enthusiasm and support for HSE.
- Other duties as directed by the Manager, Production or designate(s).

What You Bring
- 5+ years ‘experience repairing, over-hauling GE and/or Siemens Energy Industrial Gas Turbines (RB211, AVON, LM2500, LM6000) or similar type engines.
- Similar experience with other models of Gas Turbines will be considered
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Successful completion of a post-offer medical and drug & alcohol test
