ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Facilitates behavior programs for individuals with severe challenging behaviors based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Conducts functional behavioral assessments and experimental functional analysis. Provides parent education, develops intervention activities, and acts as a liaison between the organization, families, community, therapists, and healthcare providers, supporting both center-based and home-based services.
2. Conducts evaluations, case-management reviews, quality assurance reviews, and audits for own caseload as assigned by the Director of Several Behavior Services. Meets productivity requirements as set in the annual budget.
3. Leads and/or attends staff meetings, prepares and provides specialized training and materials, and develops protocols for assessments within experimental functional analysis and clinical research. Provides staff development training as assigned.
4. Ensures clarity of associate responsibilities, manages and evaluates performance and productivity, and provides training and onboarding for new associates. Offers ongoing training to SBS Program Managers and Behavior Technicians, including preparing associates for certifications.
5. Works with the Director of SBS and Human Resources in recruiting and selecting new associates, overseeing involved staff as needed.
6. Attends conferences and training to stay current with research and trends in autism, special education, and related fields.
7. Acts as a liaison between the organization, families, and community agencies, assisting with questions and concerns.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

• Master’s degree in ABA or related field
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, maintained for at least 2 years
• Current CPR certification

EXPERIENCE:

• At least 5 years of professional experience working with individuals with ASD, managing severe behavior problems, in a multidisciplinary team setting; including 1-3 years supervisory experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Expertise in scientifically-validated methodologies and behavioral analytic approaches for ASD, with familiarity with current research
• Proficiency in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and implementing function-based interventions including FCT
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Good judgment, decision-making skills, and professionalism
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations
• Ability to pass physical, TB, and drug tests, and obtain necessary clearances
• Ability to travel locally, maintain driving records, and auto insurance

• Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs, standing, walking, and bending
• Constant sitting, repetitive motions, and visual acuity requirements
