As a key member of our Engineering team, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the quality and usability of our software through strategic testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

We’re looking for a talented Software QA Tester who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves digging into details, and is passionate about delivering reliable, high-performing products. If you enjoy debugging, uncovering edge cases, and ensuring everything works just right before it reaches the customer, this role is for you.

We are looking for candidates based in the Winnipeg, Manitoba area. This role is a hybrid role going into our Winnipeg or Steinbach offices 3 days per week.

Responsibilities :

• Design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures that ensure product quality and performance.
• Identify, reproduce, and report software bugs and usability issues with clear, concise documentation.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with developers to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Assess QA needs for projects, estimate required effort, and communicate risks proactively.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with product and development teams to refine features and ensure test coverage.
• Use tools like Postman for API testing and SQL for data verification to support testing workflows.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive manual tests.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA and engineering functions.
• Support other assigned tasks as needed in a dynamic startup environment.

Key Qualifications :

• 1-3 years of experience in software QA testing, ideally within a SaaS or tech startup environment.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test management software, and debugging tools.
• Experience with Agile development processes and a Continuous Improvement mindset.
• Proficiency with Postman and basic SQL for validating backend processes and APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple testing streams simultaneously.
• Empathetic and collaborative—ready to work as part of a high-performing team.
