Location: Edmonton, AB (Hybrid)
Position Type: Full-time (Also open to considering 0.8 FTE).

What You’ll Do:

• Review financial statements and tax returns with precision and client satisfaction in mind.
• Supervise and mentor accounting technicians, fostering their growth and development.
• Provide clear, actionable financial guidance to small business clients.
• Contribute to process improvements and deliver exceptional client service.
• During personal tax season, you may work additional hours to meet client needs, including extra hours during the week or an occasional weekend day. To maintain balance, this effort is offset by shorter workweeks during less demanding times of the year. Outside of tax season, additional hours are generally not expected.
• Manage client relationships effectively, fielding technical questions and participating in ancillary client meetings as needed.
• Business development is not a requirement of this role, though opportunities to contribute to onboarding and client growth are available.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of public practice experience, with direct client interaction preferred.
• CPA designation (CA, CGA, CMA) is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered in place of a designation.
• Strong technical skills, including expertise with CaseWare files and financial reporting.
• A passion for supporting small businesses and simplifying complex financial concepts for clients.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, displaying a detail-oriented mindset.

• To fulfill the scope of this role, we are seeking someone with established experience -either a CPA designated professional or someone with significant relevant experience without a designation. This role is not intended for individuals currently pursuing, or looking to pursue, their CPA designation. We are looking for someone best suited to contribute their expertise immediately.
• Canadian public practice experience.
• Only candidates located in Canada and currently eligible to work in Canada.
