A charitable organization in Toronto is seeking a Safety Consultant to improve safety in social service settings. The role involves analyzing safety data, advising on improvements, and providing training to teams. Candidates should have a Master’s degree and extensive experience in the addictions field, demonstrating strong analytical and communication skills, along with knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention. The compensation range is between $100,390.71 and $125,488.38, based on experience.

The incumbent will act as a trusted advisor to Social Mission leadership and ministry units, providing analysis, recommendations and coaching to improve safety in our social service settings. The Safety Consultant is responsible for assessing the current state of safety in ministry units of a variety of sizes and types in order to provide advice which is practical, relevant and missionally aligned. The primary objective of this role is to support Social Mission in improving safety for both clients and staff, which is not a standalone thing but instead a part of building a culture which supports good outcomes for individuals and the organization.
The target hiring range for this position is $100,390.71 to $125,488.38 with a maximum of $150,586.06. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
