Location: CHANEL Canada, within the office located in Toronto, Ontario

Reports to: F&B Director

Contract: Full-time, 6-8 months contract (Maternity-Leave Replacement)

Your role @ Chanel:

As the Head of Marketing – Fragrance and Beauty for Chanel in Canada, your mission is to lead the strategic direction and execution of our marketing vision, ensuring the continued growth and leadership of our brand in this dynamic market. You will be a key architect of our business, championing creativity, innovation, and operational excellence across all marketing channels.

Brand Stewardship
  • Safeguard and elevate Chanel’s brand equity, ensuring all marketing initiatives reflect the brand’s values of luxury, creativity, and excellence and ensuring consistency and excellence in brand messaging, storytelling and visual identity across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Lead the successful launch and amplification of new products, ensuring they align with Chanel’s heritage and innovation, driving long‑term equity growth.
Business Leadership & Strategic Planning
  • Define and own the marketing vision and strategic roadmap, aligned with business priorities and brand DNA.
  • Lead the 3‑year marketing and growth planning by category, translating mid‑term ambitions into clear strategic priorities and annual plans.
  • Drive commercial growth and market share for Fragrance & Beauty through innovative and data‑driven marketing strategies tailored for the Canadian market.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of high‑impact, integrated campaigns that deliver strong ROI and elevate brand visibility.
  • Actively contribute to annual and multi‑year budget planning, including forecasts, investment phasing and resource allocation.
  • With the Fragrance & Beauty Director, represent the market in regional and global alignment and budget meetings, ensuring strong collaboration between global & regional teams and local execution.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Sales, VM, Supply Chain etc) to ensure business objectives are met and exceeded.
Portfolio Strategy, Market & Consumer Insight
  • Identify and leverage market, consumer and performance insights and make strategic, data‑driven recommendations to drive commercial success and grow market share.
  • Act as a key contributor to portfolio and assortment strategy, identifying growth opportunities and optimisation levers.
  • Support product lifecycle planning and launch prioritisation locally, based on Global calendar and guidelines.
Customer Experience, Trade & Event Strategy
  • Define and lead the 360 orchestrations of trade, client event and consumer engagement strategy, delivering the ultimate best experience, aligned with brand equity objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Work in close partnership with the Merchandising & Events team on the planning and execution of events and trade initiatives, ensuring alignment on client journey, assortment focus and overall brand image.
  • Partner with Sales, Field team and Training to deliver flawless execution in point of sale.
CRM Strategy
  • Elaborate the customer strategy, driving long term client growth and retention.
  • Define the customer and client segmentation strategy, in line with the overall brand and business direction.
  • Lead a customer, data‑driven vision and develop a customer engagement calendar.
  • Develop the customer engagement program (gifting, eventing, loyalty program).
Budget Management & Performance
  • Own and manage the full Promotion budget.
  • Recommend the mix of A&P investments by category, based on business insight and strategic planning.
  • Track and report on KPIs including campaigns ROI, sell‑through performance, consumer engagement datas and revenue growth.
People Leadership
  • Inspire, develop, and lead a high‑performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
  • Empower team members through coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive environment where all voices are heard and valued.
  • Set clear objectives and performance standards, providing regular feedback and recognition.

  • Proven leadership experience (10+ years), ideally in a fast‑paced premium/luxury environment or FMCG, with a deep understanding of retail, omnichannel, and wholesale landscapes.
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinker with business acumen, marketing expertise, digital savviness, and negotiation capabilities with trade partners.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth, brand awareness, and customer engagement.
  • Experience building and nurturing relationships with key partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Canadian F&B market trends, consumer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Bilingualism is an asset to communicate with customers and collaborators across Canada (French and English, both spoken and written).
