As a leader in the field, CL Toronto offers supports to over 6,000 individuals with intellectual disability, as well as to their families, including residential and day support, assistance with employment, community support, early childhood services, and respite.

Contributes to the delivery of supports and programs consistent with life plans to meet the needs of individuals and to enhance their capacity to function in all aspects of community living.

• Carry out regularly assigned or prescribed duties related to the provision of services and supports.
• Support assessment of day‑to‑day needs of individuals and the implementation of life plans, monitoring achievement of personal outcomes.
• Provide appropriate personal and physical care, including medication administration and crisis response.
• liaise with friends and family as required to address needs and share information on behalf of individuals supported.
• Support life‑skills training and provide emotional support to individuals on a one‑on‑one or group basis.

• High‑school diploma, 6 months of related work experience and knowledge of health‑care procedures and mechanical equipment (wheelchairs, lifts, G‑tubes and other specialised equipment) is required.
• Post‑secondary education focused on Social Services or Developmental Services may be considered as equivalent if no related working experience is required.
• Successful completion of internal legislated mandated training is required.
• Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
