A leading healthcare provider in Vancouver is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Chronic Pain Program. The role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients with chronic pain, requiring effective communication and medical expertise. The successful candidate will undergo comprehensive training in managing neuromodulation devices, ensuring high-quality patient care. A commitment to vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse for the Chronic Pain Program at St. Paul’s Hospital! This opportunity offers a fully-paid 6 to 8 month training.
The Chronic Pain Program team will provide the successful nursing candidate with hands-on in-clinic training to ensure that they become proficient in programming spinal cord stimulator (SCS) implants and administering intrathecal pump fills for pain management.
Additionally, the successful nursing candidate will receive training from a fully-trained neuromodulation nurse, physicians in the neuromodulation program, and the clinical representatives from companies who supply the implants. The training period (paid) is expected to be completed between 6-8 months.
As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care / Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Providence Health Care must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
