Job summary
A healthcare authority in Port McNeill is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include coordinating client care and responding to emergencies. The ideal candidate will have a registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, along with relevant experience and certifications such as Basic Life Support. This position supports patient and staff safety and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with BC College of Nurses and Midwives registration.
- Two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
- BLS Level C and ACLS for Emergency Room preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Coordinate and administer direct client care using nursing processes.
- Respond to emergency situations to ensure safety.

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to clients as a member of a multidisciplinary team; is responsible and accountable for coordinating and administering direct client care utilizing the nursing process; provides direction to staff and volunteers; and responds to emergency situations to safeguard clients, visitors and staff in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Training And ExperienceRegistration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant and two (2) years' recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. . Basic Life Support, Level C required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support for Emergency Room, ICU and Critical Care preferred. Valid BC Drivers License.
