A technology company specializing in electrical systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Kelowna, BC. This full-time position involves designing and executing electromechanical systems, alongside electrical and firmware teams. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience. Compensation includes a salary range of CAD $90,000 – $110,000 per year, with benefits like flexible working hours and 5 weeks vacation. This is a hybrid role offering the chance to impact critical infrastructure using advanced technology.
Location: Kelowna, BC (Hybrid)
Type: Full-time
We build rugged, sensor-driven systems that operate where failure is not an option, on high-voltage transmission infrastructure. Our devices integrate acoustic, RF, and environmental sensors to detect subtle electrical phenomena long before they become faults.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to drive the design and execution of compact electromechanical systems, from early prototypes through validation and production, in close partnership with electrical, firmware, and field engineering teams.
You’ll work on technically demanding systems deployed directly on critical electrical infrastructure, where engineering decisions have real‑world consequences. Our products help modernize the grid, improve system reliability, and support early detection of electrical faults that can lead to outages and wildfires. This role offers the opportunity to see your work move quickly from design and test into field deployment, closing the loop between engineering intent and real‑world performance. You’ll work closely with senior technical leadership in an environment that values first‑principles thinking, disciplined execution, and thoughtful iteration, and where strong engineering directly contributes to safer, more resilient critical infrastructure.
