A leading technology firm in Canada is seeking an experienced underwriting professional to evaluate financial risks and make credit decisions. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in financial services and expertise in Canadian compliance. This position offers a competitive salary between CAD 86,000 and 128,000, along with comprehensive benefits including health care and a retirement plan.

- 4+ years underwriting in financial services, high-growth payments, or fintech.
- Demonstrated experience in bank-based and financial underwriting.
- Self-motivated, organized, and reliable with expertise in mathematics and financial spreading.
Responsibilities
- Communicate application status and request additional documentation.
- Make timely and accurate credit decisions based on policy guidelines.
- Validate document authenticity and identify suspicious behavior.
- Create underwriting policies and procedures.
- Perform financial analysis and compile underwriting memos.
- Set customer expectations and answer questions during the onboarding process.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Operations to deliver a world-class customer experience.
