With over 50 years in the Transportation industry, Midland Transport has grown into a dynamic company throughout Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario and the northeastern United States. The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Account Manager based out of Moncton, Saint John or Fredericton NB, reporting to the Regional Sales Director. In this role you will leverage Superior Quality Service to secure new customers and grow existing volume in our core service areas. This is a hunter role focused on achieving results for LTL, TL, Brokerage and Courier. Strong negotiating and relationship building are key attributes for success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing superior quality service to customers through every interaction.
  • Identify and secure new customers in your territory while growing existing customer base.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and successfully close opportunities.
  • Develop and present transport solutions to customer, including pricing and corporate materials.
  • Plan and organize weekly call schedule to maximize territory growth and value.
  • Share marketplace intelligence with sales team and actively contribute during team calls and events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of B2B sales experience preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Proficient in selling value-based solutions, organized, high energy and a self-starter.
  • Bilingual - fluent in both English and French.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of transportation operations is an asset.
  • Ability to travel within sales territory.
  • Valid driver's license.
