Coinbase is looking for an Accounting Manager, Brazil to provide detailed finance, reporting, and accounting support for its regulated entity based in Brazil, reporting to the Global Assistant Controller in the US. The Accounting Manager, Brazil provides effective financial leadership for Coinbase Brazil to grow value responsibly, in a profitable and sustainable manner. The role involves fostering ethical decision-making, ensuring compliance, and reporting accurate financial information in line with applicable standards. We seek a candidate with a positive attitude, high motivation, and proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. This position is crucial for meeting regulatory, financial, and tax reporting obligations in Brazil, working closely with various stakeholders across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Overseeing accounting, financial, and regulatory reporting functions in Brazil, ensuring processes operate effectively and accurately.
2. Preparing and coordinating financial statements, regulatory reports, forecasts, and external communications.
3. Supporting tax reporting and compliance with Brazil's tax regulations.
4. Partnering with the global accounting team on month-end and quarter-end closing processes, maintaining IFRS standards, and updating policies.
5. Managing the finance function in Brazil, ensuring effective processes and accurate insights.
6. Serving as a point of contact for financial and regulatory queries.
7. Updating finance policies and monitoring outsourced services.
8. Participating in liquidity management and major projects, including vendor transitions and automation.
9. Supporting ad hoc analyses and reports, and preparing monthly management reports.

Qualifications include:

• 6+ years of finance experience in top-tier banks, fintech, or professional services serving financial institutions; 3+ years in a regulated environment.
• CPA or equivalent (CRC registration).
• Experience managing complex accounting processes and stakeholder interactions.
• Strong communication skills, fluency in English.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise in IFRS and US GAAP, month-end closing processes.

Nice to haves:

• Experience leading finance in Brazil for global companies.
• Experience with Netsuite, Google Suite, SOX controls.
• Basic knowledge of digital assets and crypto, SQL, Snowflake, Looker.
