Summary of Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the analysis and providing assessment of relevant public policy issues and their implications on SHEIN's business interests in Brazil. He / she is responsible for fostering strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and translating policy engagements into tangible commercial outcomes to advance SHEIN's market access and expansion efforts in Brazil. He / she will also plan, organise and manage SHEIN's various stakeholder engagement platforms in Brazil, in support of the objective to expand and enhance our collaborations with key stakeholders from various backgrounds such as political / regulatory stakeholders, civil society, industry associations and other public arenas. In this role, the candidate must be able to work effectively with various teams, including the Customer Service, Sustainability, Legal, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams, to advance SHEIN's corporate interests in Brazil. He / she should possess a deep interest and ability to understand how politics, business, fashion, sustainability, technology and innovation, as well as international relations are interconnected.

Job Responsibilities
  • Track, monitor and assess strategic / policy issues and their implications to SHEIN's commercial interests in Brazil.
  • Develop and provide recommendations to SHEIN's senior management and relevant business units concerning political, policy, and regulatory issues.
  • Identify, engage and build relations with key stakeholders (including political office holders, government officials, regulators, non-governmental organizations, media, and industry associations) to secure SHEIN's market access and expansion efforts in Brazil.
  • Identify and map key policy stakeholders (including political office holders, government officials, regulators, international organisations, non-governmental organisations and industry associations).
  • Develop and drive engagement strategies to reach out and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen SHEIN's network of partners.
  • Formulate and execute advocacy plans to translate policy engagements into tangible commercial outcomes to secure SHEIN's market access and expansion efforts.
  • Develop and drive strategic communications plans and partnerships in support of company's overall policy positioning and profiling.
  • Organise and manage meetings with external parties, including the preparation of briefing notes / presentations for senior management's reference.
  • Lead in the planning, organisation and management of networking platforms.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Global Studies, Law, Economics, Communications, Media, Journalism, or related fields.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in corporate / public affairs, and / or government relations / public policy, and / or corporate communications / public relations.
  • Experience in policy research, development, and analysis, and / or track record in developing and implementing external communication strategies / campaigns.
  • Strong policy / regulatory network and / or media relations in Brazil.
  • Strong analytical, presentation (written and oral), and project management skills.
  • Good knowledge and experience in digital media tools / platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in English and Portuguese; Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and have exceptional attention to detail while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
