Job summary
A leading real estate development company in Dubai is seeking a seasoned procurement specialist with over 5 years of experience in sourcing civil materials. The candidate should possess strong material expertise and familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle. Responsibilities include liaising with project teams, interpreting technical documents, and managing supplier negotiations to align procurement with project goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in procurement of civil materials in real estate development or engineering consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of structural and finishing materials.
- Proven ability to prequalify, negotiate, and onboard suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical submittals for material compliance.
- Liaise with design, QS, and site teams.
- Prepare RFQs, comparison sheets, and purchase orders.

- Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years in procurement of civil materials within real estate development or engineering consultancy environments. Exposure to contractor coordination is acceptable but must include direct developer/consultant-side responsibilities.
- Material Expertise: Strong knowledge of structural and finishing materials (e.g., concrete, rebar, blocks, waterproofing, insulation, façade systems). Familiarity with specification-driven sourcing and value engineering principles.
- Vendor Management: Proven ability to prequalify, negotiate, and onboard suppliers aligned with project specs and timelines. Experience in local and international sourcing preferred.
- Technical Coordination: Ability to interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical submittals to ensure material compliance. Liaise with design, QS, and site teams to align procurement with project milestones.
- ERP & Documentation: Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). Skilled in preparing RFQs, comparison sheets, purchase orders, and maintaining procurement logs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working with consultants, project managers, and client representatives to ensure procurement aligns with project goals and budget constraints.
