About the job Lead Civil & Structural Engineer

Accommodation: Self-managed Star Services LLC is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Civil & Structural Engineer to join our team at EGA, Al Taweelah. As the Lead Civil & Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all civil and structural engineering activities for the Al Taweelah Alumina Refinery project. This is a full-time position with a duration of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of civil and structural engineers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Review and approve civil and structural engineering designs, drawings, and specifications prepared by the team.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to resolve any technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor and control project progress, costs, and quality to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of engineering activities.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure construction activities are in compliance with the approved designs and specifications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team during the construction phase.
• Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers in the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, preferably in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of engineers.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, codes, and standards.
• Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD, and ETABS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with local regulations and standards in the UAE is preferred.
• Valid UAE driving license is a plus.
