Our client one of the chemical suppliers in the UAE is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Executive to join their team. In this role your responsibilities would include but not limited to:

• Oversee UAE and GCC trucking and rail shipments ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  
• Coordinate with transport providers drivers and warehouses to manage daily operations efficiently.
  
• Logistics Documentation & CompliancePrepare and verify all required shipping documents including delivery notes invoices and customs clearance.
  
• Ensure compliance with UAE transport regulations and company policies.
  
• Liaise with trucking companies and rail transport providers to ensure efficient scheduling and delivery.
  
• Negotiate transport rates and evaluate vendor performance for continuous improvement.
  
• Monitor shipments in real-time and provide regular status updates to relevant stakeholders
  
• Proactively resolve delays issues or route changes by coordinating with transport providers.
  
• Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs while maintaining service quality.
  
• Analyze route planning and suggest more efficient transport solutions to improve delivery timelines.
  
• Handle shipment delays damaged goods and transportation disruptions with quick resolutions.
  
• Work with internal teams to mitigate potential risks and ensure customer satisfaction.
  
• Ensure all land shipments comply with UAE customs and transport regulations.
  
• Stay updated on new policies that may impact logistics operations and implement necessary adjustments.
  
• Work closely with sales warehouse and customer service teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  
• Maintain accurate shipment records and prepare logistics performance reports
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
  
• Professional certifications such as CILT CSCP or FIATA are an advantage.
  
• 3 5 years of experience in logistics coordination shipment handling or transportation management within UAE and GCC regions
  
• Proven experience in land transportation (trucking and rail) operations and vendor management
  
• Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and UAE transport regulations.
  
• Proficient in logistics software ERP systems and MS Office (Excel Word Outlook).
  
• Familiarity with real-time shipment tracking tools and route optimization systems
  
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor and carrier management
