Job Description Assists patients, families, and significant others with their psychological, social, environmental, financial, and emotional problems by conducting psychosocial assessments related to presenting problems/concerns and providing necessary interventions to enhance patient quality of life.

Responsibilities Managerial Involved in daily workload management within the specialist area, prioritizing caseloads based on changing demands. Supervising junior staff and ensuring adherence to rules and policies.
Technical Managing care for vulnerable clients, including comprehensive assessments, social care planning, resource identification, and coordination with government or charity agencies. Conducting initial psychosocial assessments, planning and implementing care strategies, and updating patient records as per JCI standards. Advocating for patients, ensuring their wishes are central in care planning. Addressing legal issues, liaising with authorities, and providing necessary reports for safe discharge. Facilitating safe and timely discharges, liaising with other agencies, and directing patients and families to resources. Following up on psychiatric visits, documenting conditions, and respecting patient rights and cultural beliefs. Managing cases exempted from ER coverage, ensuring treatment processing. Promoting awareness of social care practices, liaising with professionals and organizations, and facilitating access to resources. Empowering individuals and families, maintaining high standards of record-keeping, and managing emotionally distressing situations. Providing crisis interventions, participating in discharge planning, and engaging in multidisciplinary team meetings. Providing psychoeducation and therapeutic interventions as needed.
Quality & Safety Ensuring compliance with safety, quality control, infection prevention, confidentiality, and occupational health policies. Assisting in policy development, practicing within policies, and maintaining SOPs and QA tests. Participating in training, committees, and staff development activities. Maintaining professional development through seminars and online education. Completing licensure, certification, and mandatory training requirements. Participating in clinical supervision.
Qualifications BSc and Master’s degree in Social Work; two years of experience; Arabic speaker.
