What you will do
The Service Engineer Lead Security (CFS) is a key role reporting directly to the Field Line Manager, based in Dubai. The Aftermarket CFS team performs service maintenance and retrofit projects on Security Management Systems (SMS) and Controls used across various industries including commercial, retail, and hospitality.

As a Service Engineer, you will lead, execute, and manage retrofit projects, maintenance contracts, and commissioning activities such as replacing controllers. You will be responsible for onsite system verification, PPM activities, testing, and commissioning of additional doors and cameras, as well as upgrades and service reports for SMS. You will manage a team of technicians and subcontractors on a roster-based 24/7 duty shift plan. Additionally, you will utilize technical and project management skills to ensure contracts are completed within deadlines and budgets.

The role involves being a key and front-facing representative in customer meetings, proposing designs and solutions tailored to customer needs with financial acumen for projects.

As a Service Lead, you must possess advanced knowledge of security system products, electronics, networking, AI, and digital solutions. You should have hands-on experience programming controllers, installing, and commissioning various access control and CCTV systems, visitor management systems, speed gates, car park barriers, bollards, ANPR integrations, virtualization, and Level 3 network certifications. You will conduct system operation training, create handover documents for seamless customer transition, and maintain high safety standards.

You will work in a dynamic environment that fosters the development of your technical and project management skills. Your responsibilities include designing, installing, configuring, commissioning, and testing security systems such as access control, CCTV, ANPR, facial recognition, intercom, barriers, and visitor management, as well as integrating these systems with different subsystems.

You will be involved in database migrations, configuring automated reports, integrating video guards with VMS from different manufacturers, and commissioning new security systems. You will adapt to emerging technologies, escalate technical issues, and provide coaching and technical support to team members and clients. Coordination with client IT teams to understand and implement their network requirements is essential, along with planning and implementing enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure. You will analyze network infrastructure, recommend improvements, and ensure optimal system performance. Your tasks also include installing, upgrading, configuring, patching, and tuning Windows-based servers, SQL databases, storage servers, and ensuring high availability with redundancy and failover solutions. You will plan, test, and implement database replication, backup strategies, and perform diagnostics to resolve complex hardware, OS, and database issues. Supporting the team with expertise on systems, networks, and security products is also part of your role.

How you will do it
You will leverage your strong technical knowledge in security and networking systems to perform site surveys, full dilapidation reports, and recommend system enhancements, upgrades, or replacements. You will understand customer requirements through regular meetings and provide technical services and repairs for security systems, databases, and networking.

As a Service Lead, you will demonstrate expertise in programming controllers, installing, and commissioning various access control and CCTV platforms, visitor management, and other security systems. You will conduct system operation training, prepare handover documents, and ensure safety standards.

What we look for
**Required:**
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years experience in programming, installation, commissioning, and servicing CCTV systems (e.g., Milestone, Pelco, SAFR, RAVATAR, Avigilon, Bosch, Genetec, Vision, Victor), intercom systems, intrusion detection, ANPR, guard tour, and access control systems (P2K, C CURE, CEM ACS)
- Proven experience with system integration, including SQL database integration
- Experience with high-level integration involving lifts, thermal cameras, RFID readers, perimeter detection systems
- Knowledge of preparing SIRA submittals
- Certifications such as Project Management, Milestone, AI, Network, CCNA, SIRA
- Experience with clustered servers, VMware platforms, network infrastructure, and UPS systems
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing), with a valid UAE driving license
- Ability to investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex hardware, OS, and database issues
