YOUR ROLE AT A GLANCE - Business Data Analyst (m/f/d)
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Data Analyst (m/f/d) to join our client's team in Dubai. Reporting directly to the MEA Business Controller, you will play a key role in providing insights to support management decisions across the region. Your work will involve collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data to ensure efficient operations, financial planning, and strategic decision-making. Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Collect, clean, and consolidate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze monthly business results and conduct ad-hoc analyses, including trend and root cause assessments.
- Identify risks and weaknesses in standard processes and propose actionable solutions.
- Create visualizations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards using Power BI and Excel.
- Prepare reports, forecasts, outlooks, and budgets to support management decisions.
- Provide data-driven advice to General Managers and Operations Managers within the MEA region.
- Monitor productivity and efficiency throughout the month and at month-end, focusing on CoGS development, margin performance, and overall EBITA.
- Collaborate with different departments to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights aligned with business objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an international business environment.
- Strong skills in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Good understanding of accounting processes, including ledger postings and cost accounting.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to handle large datasets and extract insights.
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance policies is a plus.
