As a Senior QA/QC Engineer in ALEC Building, you’ll be at the heart of delivering iconic structures. You will play a pivotal role in managing the quality assurance and quality control processes for large-scale construction projects. You'll ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will drive the success of the project’s execution, from start to finish, while also maintaining ALEC’s reputation for delivering exceptional work.

What You'll Do

• Lead Quality Management: Oversee and implement the Project Quality Plan, ensuring all QA/QC processes are carried out effectively and efficiently across all project phases.
• Coordinate & Supervise Inspections: Ensure inspections and testing of works and materials are conducted in line with approved ITPs (Inspection Test Plans) and project specifications.
• Handle Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs): Take ownership of NCRs, ensuring timely resolution in coordination with subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Drive Submittal Management: Review, manage, and ensure all material and shop drawing submittals are compliant with contract requirements and project specifications.
• Ensure Compliance: Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Project Closeout & Handover: Coordinate the closeout process, ensuring that all documentation, snagging, and de-snagging tasks are completed as per project requirements.
• Team Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with project management, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain quality standards and resolve any issues that arise.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 8 years of experience as a QA/QC Engineer in the construction industry, with a strong background in quality management for large-scale projects.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, inspections, material submittals, and project closeout processes.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams, driving project quality initiatives, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical: Strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve quality-related issues on-site and implement corrective actions.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Software Skills: Familiarity with quality management software, project management tools, and data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
