Job summary
A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking a Procurement Engineer to facilitate procurement activities across multiple entities. The successful candidate will manage vendor relationships, ensure compliance with procurement policies, and contribute to reporting and analytics. Ideal candidates will have a degree in engineering and experience in healthcare procurement. This role offers the opportunity to work in a critical sector and influence procurement strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in healthcare procurement or supply chain management.
- Proven experience in vendor management and contract administration.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate procurement activities across PureHealth entities.
- Prepare and evaluate RFQs, RFPs, and purchase orders.
- Conduct supplier sourcing and performance assessments.

Coordinate procurement activities across multiple PureHealth entities to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials and services Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and define technical requirements specifications and procurement needs Prepare issue and evaluate Requests for Quotation RFQs Requests for Proposal RFPs and purchase orders in compliance with procurement policies and procedures Conduct supplier sourcing evaluation negotiations and performance assessments to ensure optimal vendor selection Ensure adherence to internal controls budgetary constraints and relevant regulatory standards throughout the procurement cycle Monitor market trends supplier innovations and developments within the healthcare and construction sectors Maintain accurate and uptodate records of procurement transactions and contribute to reporting and analytics efforts Support vendor relationship management including issue resolution related to supply chain disruptions or delivery delays Oversee contract implementation tracking deliverables and ensuring milestone compliance Qualifications and Experience Bachelor s degree in Engineering Mechanical Electrical Civil or a related field Professional certifications in Procurement Supply Chain or Contract Management e g CIPS CPM are advantageous 35 years of experience in healthcare procurement sourcing or supply chain management Proven experience in engineering procurement and vendor management Sectorspecific experience in healthcare construction facilities management FM or Mechanical Electrical Plumbing works Technical Skills Indepth knowledge of procurement processes tendering procedures and contract administration Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings technical specifications and bills of quantities BOQs Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP Oracle or equivalent platforms Strong analytical skills in cost analysis supplier evaluation and risk mitigation
