Operations Director jobs in United Arab Emirates

Our client, a well renowned Educational Institution in the UAE, has an immediate requirement for an IT Operations Director - UAE Nationals only. The purpose of the role is the direction, leadership and administration of the IT Service Department. This includes accountability for department staffing, productivity and enhancement of employees.

Responsibilities:

1. Direct the management and operation of IT infrastructure and communication networks.
2. Review of existing systems and creation of new and enhanced methods.
3. Develop and manage department budgets, perform cost analysis and devise cost reduction methods.
4. Oversee the staffing of the department to ensure work is completed effectively and efficiently.
5. Evaluate vendors and proposals for additional services, products and equipment.
6. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of new systems.
7. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of state of the art equipment and leading edge technologies.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in IT; a Master's would be an advantage.
2. Minimum of 5-6 years of experience.
3. Team Management is essential.
4. Experience in writing and reviewing technical Request for Proposal.
5. Proven track record in the implementation of IT systems to enhance organisational performance.
