We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will review all designs and drawings related to the electrical infrastructure of the metro rail construction, including stations, depots, ancillary facilities, and related infrastructure. The role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, and representing the company as PMC and client representative.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve electrical designs and drawings submitted by D&B contractors, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure all electrical systems and components comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct regular technical reviews of electrical engineering deliverables developed by consultants/contractors.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Represent the company in client meetings and design workshops, managing stakeholder expectations.
- Address technical queries and raise deviations when necessary.
- Provide technical support during installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
- Manage feasibility studies and prepare technical specifications for electrical systems.
- Report on progress and manage budgets for electrical engineering and design.
- Develop, review, and approve electrical systems, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Identify and mitigate electrical risks, advising on opportunities and threats.
- Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and corporate protocols.
- Prepare and deliver presentations as needed.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to drive project progression.
- Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; a Master's is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as PE or equivalent are highly desirable.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects.
- Deep knowledge of industry codes and standards relevant to the region.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/BIM.
- Experience working on projects in Dubai and surroundings is mandatory.
