Job summary
A leading financial services provider is seeking a Senior Functional Consultant specialized in Trade Finance for their operations in the UAE. The candidate must have at least 18 years of relevant banking experience, with 10 years dedicated to consulting on Core Trade and Supply Chain Finance. Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL/PLSQL and Java is essential, along with a deep understanding of Islamic banking products and Core Banking systems. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure. Employment type is full-time with no remote work options.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years in banking with at least 10 years in consultation on Core Trade / Supply chain finance.
- Experience in requirement definition and analysis workshop facilitation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and consultancy skills.
Responsibilities
- Implement and support Core Trade/SCF system.
- Communicate effectively with IT specialists.
- Manage stakeholder engagement during SIT/UAT.

- Very Advances Programming and SQL/PLSQL language.
- Very Advances Programming on Java.
- Very Advances on Dev Ops.
- Very Advances Programming Crystal reports.
- Deep Knowledge on Trade Finance.
- Deep Knowledge on Ethix Core Banking.
- Deep Knowledge on Finances RFR and Profit calculation.
- Understanding of Core Banking Trade/SCF products their workflow and life cycle.
- Experience of working on core Banking (Ethix).
- Hands on experience of implementation configuration and support of Core Trade/SCF system.
- Proven track record of working experience with Core Trade/SCF.
- Experience of defining accounting and posting rules for all Trade/SCF products and instruments.
- Experience in SIT/UAT and stakeholder management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with IT specialists (e.g. IT security network infrastructure teams etc.).
- Resultsoriented individual and can work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in requirement definition and analysis workshop facilitation and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Project Management Experience.
- Excellent communication presentation and consultancy skills.
- A good degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 18 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience of working in a Bank or financial services company (Preferably Islamic Banking).
- Understand of Islamic banking and Islamic Products Murabaha Istisna LME Wakala Ijara is must.
- Minimum 18 Years in banking.
- 10 years in consultation on Core Trade / Supply chain finance.
