Dubai Holding is looking to hire a Manager – Investments & Portfolio Management reporting to the Director - Investments & Portfolio Management in Dubai Holding Investments. The Manager will be responsible for key investment activities, including financial and commercial analysis, preparation of presentation materials, development of financial models, sector research, and valuation analysis. The role also supports the evaluation of new investment opportunities, as well as portfolio management activities, including monitoring financial and operational performance, identifying value creation initiatives, and assisting with strategic decisions related to portfolio companies.

Key Accountabilities:
Portfolio Management
- Monitor and analyze portfolio company performance to ensure alignment with investment objectives and value creation plans.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports and dashboards to Board representatives, highlighting key financial and operational trends, KPIs, and strategic focus areas.
- Support the development and execution of portfolio strategies, including capital allocation, strategic direction, and potential exit recommendations, reflecting market dynamics and company performance.
- Assist in portfolio rebalancing and optimization to maintain adherence to investment strategy, risk appetite, and return targets.
- Drive value creation initiatives by working closely with portfolio company management teams to implement strategic and operational improvements.
- Monitor exit readiness and support exit process planning and execution.
Investments
- Conduct comprehensive financial and commercial analysis of portfolio companies and potential investments to evaluate risks and identify value creation opportunities.
- Support due diligence processes by coordinating with external advisors and internal teams to assess operational, financial, legal, and commercial aspects of targets.
- Perform in-depth market and competitive research to evaluate sector dynamics, benchmark performance, and validate investment theses.
- Execute valuations using standard methodologies such as DCF and comparable multiples to support investment decisions and negotiation processes.
- Build and review detailed financial models with robust assumptions and valuation outputs to guide investment committee discussions and decision-making.
- Prepare investment committee and leadership materials to present analysis, findings, and recommendations.
- Participate actively in the end-to-end execution of investments.
- Support negotiation of deal terms and investment agreements in collaboration with legal and compliance teams.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to stress-test investment assumptions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting investment decisions.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess portfolio risks—including market, credit, and operational—and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare risk assessment reports and present findings to senior management, recommending risk mitigation measures.
- Ensure all investment activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Participate in periodic portfolio reviews and stress tests to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain investment risk frameworks and controls.
Special Projects
- Support strategic initiatives and operational improvements through special projects within Dubai Holding Investments vertical.
- Collaborate with internal teams and manage stakeholder communications, providing portfolio updates and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Who we are looking for:
- 4-6 years of relevant experience at financial institutions such as investment banks, private equity firms, sovereign wealth funds, Tier 1 advisory firms or transaction advisory within ‘Big 4’ firms.
- Currently positioned as an Associate in an investment bank or holding an equivalent role at a private equity or consulting firm.
- Experience may be gained in any major global financial center.
Education / Professional Certifications:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant subject areas such as Investments, Finance, Economics or related disciplines.
- Preferred: CFA charter holder, Chartered Accountant, MBA from top-tier institutions or other relevant professional qualification.
