Job Description

• Conduct pre-operational checks on crane equipment, including inspection of cables, hooks, and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with rigging teams to determine proper lifting techniques and load distribution, enhancing efficiency and safety during operations.
• Monitor load movements and communicate effectively with ground crew, utilizing hand signals or radios to ensure precise handling of materials.
• Adhere to project timelines and schedules, adjusting operations as needed to accommodate changing conditions on the job site.
• Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including lift weights, equipment usage, and maintenance logs for compliance audits.
• Assist in the setup and dismantling of cranes at various oil and gas locations, ensuring secure and efficient operations.
• Identify and report potential hazards or malfunctions immediately, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks on site.

Desired Candidate Profile

• A minimum high school diploma or equivalent, with additional vocational training in crane operation, is preferred.
• Valid crane operator certification from recognized authorities, demonstrating adherence to industry standards.
• Proven experience of at least 5 years operating mobile cranes within the oil and gas sector, showcasing specialized skills.
• Preference for candidates with experience working in the UAE, particularly in Sharjah or RAK regions, familiar with local regulations.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic or other relevant languages is an advantage for effective communication.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments and adapt to rapidly changing site conditions while maintaining professionalism.
• Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role, including the ability to climb, lift, and work at heights as necessary.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and best practices, with a track record of maintaining zero-incident operations.
