Job Summary :
A leading educational institute based in Ajmanis seeking a Computational Design Engineer – Lab Supervisor to oversee and manage the college’s computational design lab and the digital fabrication lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting students and faculty in utilizing advanced design and modeling software, digital fabrication, 3D printing, maintaining lab operations, managing software installations, and conducting training sessions and workshops.
Key Responsibilities :
- Student Support : Assist and support students in using computational design software, including but not limited to Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, 3ds Max , and other relevant applications.
- Lab Maintenance : Ensure the proper functioning of all lab equipment, computers, and peripherals. Regularly update software, troubleshoot issues, and maintain optimal performance of the lab environment.
- Software Installation & Management : Manage and install the necessary software for computational design applications, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and university policies.
- Faculty Support : Assist faculty members with software-related needs, provide guidance on integrating computational tools into coursework, and support research initiatives that require digital modeling and simulation.
- Training & Workshops : Develop and conduct training sessions and workshops for students and faculty on computational design tools, digital fabrication techniques, and emerging technologies in architecture and design.
- Technology Advancement : Stay up to date with the latest advancements in computational design tools, and digital fabrication, techniques, and industry trends. Recommend and implement new technologies to enhance the lab’s capabilities.
- Collaboration : Work closely with faculty, researchers, and students to support academic projects and ensure the effective use of digital tools in architectural and design education.
