Senior Engineer – Advanced Solutions
Responsibilities
- Perform the activities of client requirements analysing, specifying, designing, developing, testing, documenting, installing, and commissioning advanced control applications using Profit Controller/Optimizer, UniSim, DCS algorithms, and custom programs.
- Perform PID tuning, step testing, model identification, inferential models developing, on-line commissioning, tuning of control applications and complex control problems.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of on-line control applications.
- Perform economic benefit/feasibility studies.
- Pro-actively seek technology improvements and project methodology improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems that arise during project execution.
- Train customer engineers and operators on control applications.
- Communicate to Project Manager in terms of project progress and issues.
- Overseas travels for projects are required.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- More than 5 years of relevant experience in designing/implementing multivariable model predictive control technology and online optimization such as Profit Controller/Optimizer, DMCPlus and EXASMOC.
- Experience in refinery/petrochemical/chemical processes and equipment.
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems and Plant Logic.
- Experience with interfacing APC on various DCS systems.
