Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth operation of lubricant oil filling section.
- Supervise and guide filling operators.
- Coordinate with maintenance team for machine servicing.
- Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Maintain production logs and reports.
Skills
Education
Ensure smooth efficient and safe operation of the lubricant oil filling section maintaining quality standards optimizing machine uptime and leading a team of operators to achieve production targets.
- Daily planning and execution of lubricant oil filling as per production schedule.
- Operate and monitor filling machines (semi/fully automatic).
- Ensure correct filling volume sealing labeling and batch coding.
- Minimize wastage and monitor yield.
- Supervise and guide filling operators and helpers.
- Allocate manpower as per shift plan.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and shift handovers.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for routine servicing and breakdowns.
- Maintain basic preventive maintenance of filling machines.
- Ensure all safety interlocks and sensors are functioning properly.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs GMP and ISO standards.
- Conduct in-process quality checks (e.g. fill weight leak test visual inspection).
- Liaise with QA/QC team for sampling and approvals.
- Enforce PPE usage and safety protocols on the shop floor.
- Maintain 5S and hygiene in the filling area.
- Report and record near misses incidents or unsafe conditions.
- Maintain shift-wise production logs downtime records and material consumption reports.
- Prepare daily production reports and share with management.
- Ensure traceability and batch records are properly maintained.
- Education: Diploma/B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical/Production/Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: 25 years in lubricant or FMCG/chemical/liquid filling industry.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of filling capping labeling machines.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Team leadership and communication.
- SAP/ERP familiarity preferred.
- Shift-based work (may include night shifts or weekends).
- Exposure to lubricants and packaging environment.
- Standing for long hours on shop floor.
