Job description

Veolia WTS is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our Manufacturing division in Dubai. This pivotal role will oversee the EHS function for our Dubai Site and MEA Supply Chain operations ensuring compliance with global standards and local regulations while driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

Day-to-Day Duties
  • Lead site EHS compliance with global/regional goals and local regulations
  • Establish and maintain VEOLIA WTS EHSS system compliance
  • Track and report EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage regulatory permit renewals and compliance
  • Lead risk analysis, incident investigations and root cause analyses
  • Develop and implement injury prevention strategies
  • Monitor contractor safety compliance
  • Oversee EHS training programmes for supply chain staff
  • Drive EMS Framework 2.0 HRMS and EHS policy implementation
  • Participate in project and sustainability initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred or industry experience
  • NEBOSH IGC and/or IOSH certifications mandatory
  • Minimum 3 years EHS management experience in manufacturing/service facilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of UAE/Gulf EHS regulations
  • Chemical manufacturing industry experience
  • Strong analytical and decision‑making capabilities
  • Proven leadership and team collaboration abilities
  • Effective stakeholder management skills
  • Valid driving licence
