The Senior Civil Engineer leads the design and construction oversight of critical infrastructure for upstream, midstream, and downstream hydrocarbon facilities. The role involves performing geotechnical analyses, seismic evaluations, and drainage studies for projects ranging from offshore platform substructures to refinery tank farms. Whether designing blast-resistant buildings for process areas or optimizing modular construction techniques for Arctic sites, the engineer’s expertise ensures infrastructure resilience in extreme operating environments. The Senior Civil Engineer serves as the technical authority for soil–structure interaction challenges, reviewing contractor submittals and resolving field discrepancies. The position requires advanced proficiency in STAAD.Pro, PLAXIS, or similar analysis software to validate designs against hydrocarbon-specific loads (thermal, vibration, explosion). The professional collaborates with pipeline and mechanical teams to coordinate buried services, access roads, and erosion control measures. The engineer’s ability to balance constructability with long-term asset integrity directly impacts project safety and lifecycle costs in corrosive, high-risk settings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

• 7 plus years of experience in civil design and construction for oil & gas projects
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (API, ACI, ISO, BS, Eurocode)
• Proficiency in civil / structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, PLAXIS, SAP2000, etc.)
• Experience with geotechnical analysis, seismic evaluation, and drainage design
• Proven ability to oversee field construction and resolve technical issues on-site
• Strong leadership skills with ability to review and approve contractor deliverables
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
