Primary Art Teacher | Teaching Jobs in the UAE | TAX FREE income with benefits. My client is a leading school, as part of a larger growing group of schools in the UAE. It has been established for about 25 years and has many expat teachers at the school. This role seeks a qualified and experienced Primary Art Teacher or a Teacher of Art willing to teach at the primary level. The students are mainly local but well behaved. The school is well resourced with a vibrant teaching and leadership team. This is a great opportunity to pick up the USA Common Core and the IB curriculum. The majority of teachers recruited are from western countries and the medium of teaching and learning is English. There is a strong Art community and growing interest in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK). RAK offers a different lifestyle and growth opportunities while remaining close to Dubai.

• Bachelor’s degree in Primary / Elementary Education with a specialism in Art OR
• A degree in Art with a teaching qualification like a PGCE or USA Teaching license
• M.Ed. in Primary / Elementary is beneficial
• At least two years of full-time experience as an elementary teacher
• Trained from a recognised university
• Have a high level of written and spoken English
• Tech savvy to use MS Teams, Zoom, MS Office suite and Google Apps
• Must have a high command of written and spoken English or IELTS level 7 to be considered

• Create lesson plans that are engaging and fun to teach
• Prepare lesson resources to ensure students are equipped during the lesson
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of students
• Carry out formative assessment on a regular basis to ensure students meet the required standards
• Promote an inquiry-based classroom
• Decorate the classroom to promote teaching and learning
• Create a classroom environment that promotes independent learning and collaboration with peers and teachers
• Maintain excellent classroom management
• Attend parent–teacher conferences
• Attend staff briefings
• Plan collaboratively with other teachers
• Attend department meetings
• Attend after-school IB PYP CPD training sessions
• Be able to work independently as well as with the team

• Experience of the IB Curriculum is beneficial but not essential as training will be given
• Experience of USA Curriculum such as American Harcourt, AP and Common Core is highly valued
• It will be beneficial to your application if you have experience of working in the Middle East or with non-native speakers of English
