Job summary

We are inviting applications from experienced and dedicated Art Teachers to join our exceptional team from August 2026.

Key Responsibilites:
  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that supports students with diverse learning needs within the IB and British curriculum frameworks.
  • Collaborate with subject teachers to design and implement strategies that promote access, progress, and achievement for all learners.
  • Use data effectively to monitor student progress and plan targeted interventions.
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment aligned with the IB Learner Profile and GEMS Core Values.
  • Contribute to the development of inclusive practices across the secondary school, promoting equity and understanding among students and staff.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or an initial degree plus a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/state teaching license or equivalent) with a specialism in Art.
  • Advanced qualifications in Art are desirable but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of the IB philosophy and Approaches to Teaching and Learning is desirable.
  • Proven ability to inspire, support, and challenge students to achieve their potential.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
  • Availability to join from August 2026.
