An exceptional opportunity has become available for a Financial Accountant to join a dynamic team in Cape Town!

Job Purpose This role involves handling various day-to-day financial and accounting tasks.

The Financial Accountant reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and supports both the Financial Manager and the CFO to ensure the department functions smoothly.

Core responsibilities include processing payments, updating financial records, and managing invoices.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) Process financial transactions and prepare management reports Create & send, and follow up on outstanding debtors Prepare payments and distribute proof of payments Manage the finance mailbox Maintain the fixed asset register Prepare monthly VAT returns and reconciliations Reconcile intercompany balances at month-end Report discrepancies Assist with annual audits Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by the Financial Manager Propose improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and cost reduction Key Requirements Degree in Accounting or Finance (Required) SAIPA / SAICA qualification (Desirable) 2-4 years experience in a financial environment or completed SAIPA / SAICA articles (Essential) Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software (Pastel & Xero) Additional Skills Knowledge of SA accounting practices Knowledge of relevant tax and VAT legislation Computerised accounting packages (Pastel & Xero) Advanced Excel and computer skills Time management and analytical skills Attention to detail and a structured approach Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Agile, flexible, and eager to learn If you're passionate about finance and ready to grow within a dynamic, forward-thinking company apply today!
