The ideal candidate holds a B.Comm degree, has at least 5 years’ experience, and is proficient in budgeting, reporting, compliance, and team leadership within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounts, reconciliations, and reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure statutory compliance (e.g., SARS, VAT, PAYE) and support external audits
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and risk management practices
• Provide financial insights to support business decision-making
• Lead and mentor the finance team
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and funding requirements
• Collaborate with executive team on strategic financial planning
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies

Requirements:

• B.Comm degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (essential)
• 5+ years’ relevant experience, ideally within the financial services sector
• Strong understanding of South African financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, Pastel) and MS Excel
