A dynamic Mining Manufacturer based in the East Rand is looking to employ an Engineering with 5 - 10 years’ experience in a similar role.

1. Matric
2. BEng or BSc Mechanical Engineering (Essential)
3. Valid Driver’s License & Own Vehicle
4. 5 – 10 years’ experience in a similar role
5. Must have management experience
6. Proven experience in the mining industry
7. Strong technical background with sound engineering principles
8. Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and cross-functional planning skills
9. Lead the design and development
10. Ensure designs are robust, manufactural, and aligned with customer and operational requirements
11. Oversee 3D modelling, detailed drawings, BOMs (Bills of Material) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
12. Manage multiple design projects / initiatives from concept through to production release
13. Establish and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and design guidelines
14. Ensure regulatory and industry compliance (e.g., ISO, ASME, CE, SANS)
15. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve design-for-manufacturing (DFM) issues
16. Develop and manage the engineering department budget
