Job summary
A leading engineering consultancy in Gauteng is seeking a skilled Automation Mechanical Engineer specializing in Robotic Simulation. This role involves responsibilities like simulation of robotic welding and evaluating cycle times in automotive industries. Candidates should have a Mechanical Engineering Degree and over 3 years of experience in automated manufacturing. A competitive salary package is offered.
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in Automated Manufacturing Company with Robotic simulation.
- Experience in conceptualizing and simulating robotic welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate cycle times for simulated processes.
- Interface with customers and vendors to optimize solutions.
- Manage project documentation throughout the simulation setup.

Must have a Mechanical Engineering Degree OR Aeronautical Engineering Degree OR Mechanical Diploma
Mechanical Engineer with experience in Plant + Robotics Simulation in Automotive Industries
- Must have 3+ years’ experience Automated Manufacturing Company + gained Robotic simulation experience
- Must have experience gained in conceptualize + simulate robotic welding + plant simulation+ CAD + PDM standards.
- Experience in evaluation of cycle times.
- Must have experience in reach checks and interference studies.
- Must have experience in Interface with customers, vendors, production managers and procurement to find optimal solutions.
- Must have experience read + interpret, technical drawings +schematics + tooling +fixtures + simulation setup + analysis
- Must have experience in Project Documentation
- Must have visual components experience essential
- Preferably have Solid Works experience - advantage
- Must have gained good understanding of automated production processes.
- Own transport
- Monthly Salary package CTC R30 000- R45 000 per month negotiable according to skills qualifications + years working experience
