An opportunity has become available for a high calibre Ultra-Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver to distribute goods to various clients.

• Grade 12 / Matric/ Senior Certificate
• Grade 10 Literacy level (Verbally and Numerically literate)
• Code EC driver's license with valid PrDP (DGP)
• Minimum 3 years experience driving an Ultra Heavy Vehicle

• Must be 25 years of age and above
• Must be prepared to work weekends and public holidays
• Knowledge of defensive driving techniques
• Understanding of vehicle components and their functions
• Reporting procedures for emergencies and defects
• Vehicle inspections and fire extinguisher operation
• Maximizing vehicle cost-effectiveness and efficiency
• Vehicle loading techniques

• Prepare vehicle for trips and operate Ultra Heavy Vehicles
• Load, transport, and offload goods
• Handle required documentation and perform ancillary duties
• Follow instructions from supervisor
• Work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Maintain a safe driving record and clean criminal record
• Housekeeping of vehicles, uniforms, and PPE
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures
• Complete medical evaluations, USCS training modules, induction, and practical driving evaluations
• Verify a clean criminal record
• Ensure loads are not overloaded as per the National Road Traffic Act
• Oversee or operate offloading equipment for goods offloading
• Secure loads before departure
• Open and close tarpaulins when applicable
• Interact professionally with customers
