The goal of the position

Is to assist Business Development Managers (primarily for MEA region) with technical solutions support for pre- and post-sales opportunities.

FF-Group is looking for the right person to fill an opening in our Product department as a SolutionEngineer, Middle East Africa, to assist Business

Development Managers with technical solutions support for pre- and post-sales opportunities. Ideal candidates will reside in Cape Town, South Africa.

Who are we looking for

• You want the primary responsibility of supporting the sales growth initiatives in the designated Business Area.
• You love working closely with the Business Development Managers in the territory to support various types of pre- and post-sales opportunities including critical projects.
• You are great at communication and collaboration with customers.

General responsibilities:

• Provide pre-sales and post -sales engineering and support.
• Prepare technical sales support materials and documents.
• Develop system design recommendations.
• Project management and maintenance initiatives.
• Present training seminars on-site and through webinars.
• Coordinate on-site proof of concept and trial installations
• Provide in-depth on-site troubleshooting and solutions.
• Work cohesively with Business Development Managers and the HQ support
• team.
• Thorough testing of beta release software’s from HQ.
• Back up support for European Clients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have:

• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, RESTful, infrastructure, troubleshooting, etc.)
• Mature, professional verbal and listening skills
• Proven reputation of positive customer interaction
• Solid technical writing skills, especially white paper, manuals, and instructions
• Design documentation skills of video, audio, and network typologies
• Resourceful and flexible
• Certification in Axis, Milestone, Networking, CompTIA Network + AWS Certified Solutions Architect

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or Information Systems
• 5+ years of experience in networking and/or video related systems, preferably customer facing.
• Experience in ANPR and Traffic solutions
