Working as part of a team of 5, this manual role involves the day-to-day maintenance of the Victorian trunk sewer network in London. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, investigations, and safety cover within North and East London. The role emphasizes safety and requires close collaboration with team members.

• Working in confined spaces (CP2 confined space rescue qualification required), at heights, and lifting heavy loads.
• Physical maintenance of the sewer network and assets, e.g., penstock gates.
• Operating plant and equipment.
• Cleaning, basic maintenance, and fault-finding.

6:30 am – 3:45 pm; with 1 week out of 5 on night shift from 9:00 pm - 5:30 am. Participation in an out-of-hours standby rota is required, with additional pay.

East and North London.

• Previous manual labouring experience and capability to perform all tasks.
• Drainage knowledge and mechanical background are advantageous.
• Physical fitness and comfort working in water, at heights, and in confined spaces. Pre-employment medical is required.
• Must be clean-shaven and weigh less than 110kg due to safety equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in confined spaces year-round.
• Full manual UK driving license is essential; a 7.5t license is desirable.

• Salary from £22,800 to £28,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
• 24 days holiday, increasing to 28 with service, plus bank holidays.
