Job summary
A recruitment agency based in Durban is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage cashbooks, prepare audit packs, and oversee financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have a B. Com degree, completed articles, and over 3 years of relevant experience. This position offers a total remuneration of R30,000 to R33,000 monthly, with a focus on efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
Qualifications

- Completed articles.
Responsibilities
- Review of Cashbooks for the Group.
- Preparation of projected monthly/weekly Cashflows.
- Preparation/Review of journals.
- Preparation/Review of balance sheet recons.
- Compilation/Review of Monthly Management accounts.
- Preparation of audit packs and overseeing the external audit.
- Assisting in preparation/review of the AFS for the Group.
- Preparation of annual budgets.
- Preparation of tax comps and review of tax returns.
- Review of Vat workings.
- Liaison with Tax Practitioner and resolving all tax matters.
- Liaison with Internal Auditors and assist with queries.
- Reviewing and updating of systems description and SOPs.
- Reviewing of processes and making changes to improve efficiency.
- Review of system generated transactions and reports.
- Assistance with Stock take.
- Review of selected tasks performed by the branch Admin Managers.
- Review/verification of Fixed Assets register.

REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- B. Com degree in Accounting (or similar tertiary qualification)
- Completed articles.
- 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Excellent accounting software literacy
- Working knowledge of ERP software packages (SAP, Syspro, Accpac, Kerridge etc)
- Advanced Excel skills
RUMUNERATION
R30,000 To R33,000 (Total Cost To Company - Basic salary only)
